The MEYER Secure Access Lockout System enables
administrators to set authorization codes for the operation of
closing units. This capability provides administrators with a
flexible, yet secure way to assign individual user permissions
and set date and hours-of-operation restrictions. This
inventive system is the only lockout control device that
incorporates programmable accountability, control, and
traceability into your risk management design.
The system ensures accountability by recording lockout
system-engagement history with a time and date stamp:
identifies when, and by whom, closing unit valves were
locked and unlocked. Despite power shortages, the system
safely stores and protects data, which is accessible by
connecting the laptop that is provided with the
programmable system.
The programmable system also features an override control
that allows an unauthorized user to unlock valves in an
emergency. When engaged, the emergency override will
trigger alarms—in the form of a flashing light and warning
horn—that will continue until turned off by the job
administrator.
